THE 2020 CHOICE IS CLEAR

American democracy cannot survive another four years of Trump. We know the Indivisible movement can work with Vice President Biden to protect our democratic institutions and pass major progressive reforms next year. There is no question: on every issue Indivisible cares about, Joe Biden is the choice.

Join us in the fight to defeat Donald Trump.

Under the Obama-Biden administration, hundreds of thousands of undocumented youth obtained temporary relief from deportation through the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

The Obama-Biden administration also fought for expanded relief for parents of DACA recipients, known as the Deferred Action for Parents of Americans (DAPA) program.

Vice President Biden has committed to halting deportations and overhauling our immigration system, a critical step in protecting families moving forward. A moratorium would mean an end to the terror that those families have faced for years.

Joe Biden

Donald Trump has terrorized immigrant communities starting on day one of his administration.

Despite promising otherwise, Trump killed the DACA program in 2017, putting hundreds of thousands of immigrant youth at risk of deportation. What’s worse, he’s tried to extort Democrats into giving him more resources for his deportation machine in exchange for relief for DACA recipients.

Donald Trump has weaponized an unjust immigration system to terrorize communities. If reelected, he will further empower ICE and other agencies to inflict cruelty on immigrants and their families.

Donald Trump

Immigration

We need a president who is grounded in support for immigrants, centers the voices of impacted communities, and does not scapegoat recent immigrants to win votes.

Vice President Biden supports critical pro-democracy reforms, including eliminating the influence of dark money in our political system, expanding access to voting, securing our elections, and establishing a small dollar public financing program.

Vice President Biden supports statehood for the District of Columbia and self-determination for Puerto Rico.

Joe Biden

Donald Trump is the most corrupt president in American history. The theme of his presidency has been corruption and self-dealing.

Donald Trump does not support statehood for D.C. and has gone out of its way to deny basic health and human services to Puerto Rico in the middle of a crisis.

Trump is a strong supporter of voter suppression efforts and opposes expanded ballot access through systems like vote-by-mail.

Donald Trump

Democracy

If we want to prevent four more years of rampant corruption guiding our executive branch, we must be all-in to defeat Donald Trump.

Health Care

Vice President Biden would establish a public option that would continue the work of the Affordable Care Act by expanding coverage to millions more people. His plan would make coverage more affordable, and end practices like surprise billing that can put people at financial risk even if they do have coverage.

Vice President Biden wants Medicare to use its power to negotiate lower drug prices, and ensure that pharmaceutical corporations can’t spike prices on existing drugs or price new drugs out of reach for the families that need them.

As Vice President, Biden was instrumental in passing the ACA, the most significant health care expansion since Medicare/Medicaid. As a result more than 20M previously uninsured people have gained coverage through either the marketplaces or through expanded Medicaid.

Joe Biden

Under Donald Trump, millions of people have lost their health coverage, and programs like Medicaid that people rely on have been under constant siege. Even now, Trump stands behind his lawsuit to repeal the Affordable Care Act through the courts, despite the fact that it would eliminate protections for pre-existing conditions for hundreds of millions of people.

Donald Trump is committed to ending the ACA and has worked to sabotage it at every turn. He tried to kick 32 million Americans off their health care, and has created new barriers to Medicaid access.

Donald Trump puts profits over people and public health at every opportunity. His mishandling of COVID-19 has cost more American lives than the Vietnam War.

Donald Trump’s Secretary of Health and Human Services, Alex Azar, oversaw massive insulin price hikes as a pharmaceutical CEO. And despite making grandiose promises to “negotiate like crazy” to bring down drug prices as a candidate, Trump has instead handed over power to the pharmaceutical corporations that caused the problem in the first place.

Donald Trump

We believe health care is a human right, and Joe Biden agrees. Together, we will protect and expand the ACA and fight pharmaceutical corporate greed.

Climate

Vice President Biden Biden supports the Green New Deal framework which calls for green jobs, reaching 100% clean and renewable energy by 2030, and making sure that front line communities are centered in the transition.

Vice President Biden was instrumental in securing the historic Paris Climate Agreement established to combat climate change. He plans to rejoin the agreement to lower greenhouse gas emissions and increase our ability to adapt to climate change.

Joe Biden

Donald Trump has claimed that climate change is a “hoax,” even calling it “mythical”.

One of Trump’s first actions on entering office was pulling the U.S. out of the Paris Agreement. Since then, Trump has overturned regulations that are intended to keep our water and air clean and dismantled the EPA enforcement structure.

Donald Trump

Economic Justice

Vice President Biden plans to offer complete public student loan forgiveness for borrowers who make under $125,000/year and attended a community college, four-year public college or university, or HBCU.

Biden has also backed a plan to immediately cancel a minimum of $10,000 of student debt per person.

Vice President Biden strongly supports unions and the right to collective bargaining. He is endorsed by some of the largest unions in the country, including the United Auto Workers and the American Federation of Teachers.

Joe Biden

Throughout his presidency, Trump has not offered any relief for student loan borrowers. Under his direction, Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos has loosened regulations on for-profit institutions, making it easier for schools to take advantage of students trying to get an education.

Throughout his presidency, Trump worked to roll back union protections through the National Labor Relations Board and weaken workers rights.

Trump recently issued an executive memo granting Defense Secretary Mark Esper the ability to abolish collective bargaining rights for employees at the Department of Defense.

Donald Trump

Foreign Policy

Vice President has stated that if he were elected he would rejoin the Iran Nuclear Deal, which was negotiated and signed under the Obama-Biden administration. Before Donald Trump violated the deal, it was keeping the U.S. and Iran from moving further towards war and from Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Joe Biden

Donald Trump is a foreign policy disaster. He’s put us all at risk by insulting key allies, violating international agreements, racking up the civilian body count across the globe, banning Muslims, escalating current conflicts, and threatening to start new ones.

Donald Trump

In the fight against an evil agenda motivated by greed and racism, there can be no middle ground. Donald Trump and those who empower him must lose.

There is no question, Joe Biden’s administration would be better for our democracy, for our neighbors and families, and for our future.

Joe Biden is prepared to take the necessary action to lead us towards a livable future. Donald Trump thinks climate science is a hoax.
